Dress Code

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we prepare for another successful school year at Le Grand High School, we want to remind you of our dress code policy designed to create a positive and respectful learning environment. We kindly request your support in ensuring your child adheres to the dress code. Please refer to the student handbook for detailed information. Here, we have highlighted a few items for your information:

  1. Appropriate Attire: Students should wear neat, clean, and suitable clothing for the school setting.

  • Clothing should not contain offensive language, images, or symbols.

  • Clothing should not refer to any illegal substance, such as alcohol, drugs, or tobacco.

  • Clothing should not use words or depictions that are vulgar, profane, or sexually explicit.

  • No gang-affiliated clothing, bandanas, etc.

  1. Modesty: Tops and bottoms should cover all undergarments and not be revealing. Shorts, skirts, and dresses should be appropriate lengths. Shredded pants, shorts, skirts, and dresses are allowed as long as the shred is below the 3-inch inseam.

  1. Headgear: Hats, hoods, and other head coverings should not be worn indoors unless for religious or medical reasons.

  2. Footwear: For safety reasons, students should always wear shoes.

  3. Special Events: On certain occasions, we may have themed dress days or events where exceptions to the dress code are made. We will inform you ahead of time about any such events.

Following these guidelines can help maintain a focused and respectful atmosphere where all students can thrive. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.

Thank you for your cooperation and continued support.

Sincerely,

Dr. Martinez

Principal, Le Grand High School
